Vlad on Technology

About

A studio log for building with intention.

This is where I share the behind-the-scenes work of shipping products, experimenting with new stacks, and keeping systems calm under pressure.

I write from the perspective of a software developer and technical founder, actively building software and trying to make sense of how tools, teams, and practices evolve over time.

What this publication is

Vlad on Technology is a working log.

It sits somewhere between a technical notebook and a studio journal: a place to document decisions, trade-offs, and patterns that emerge while building and maintaining real software systems.

Some posts are detailed and technical. Others are reflective, focused on process, collaboration, or the shape of work itself.

What I publish

  • Essays on building and shipping software products
  • Notes on engineering decisions, architecture, and delivery trade-offs
  • Reflections on development workflows and tooling
  • Case studies from projects in progress
  • Observations on how teams work, coordinate, and stay effective over time

Many posts are grounded in things I’m actively working on. Others are written after something breaks, changes, or forces a rethink.

How I work

  • Short feedback loops over long plans
  • Clear structure before added complexity
  • Small, useful releases that can be tested and revised
  • Systems that remain understandable under load

This blog reflects that same approach: ideas are shared early, revisited often, and refined as experience accumulates.

Principles

  • — Design first: clarity before complexity.
  • — Automate the boring parts so the creative work stays human.
  • — Ship the smallest useful slice, then iterate.

Who this is for

This publication tends to resonate with people who:

  • Build or maintain software as part of their daily work
  • Care about how systems behave over time, not just at launch
  • Are interested in the intersection of technology, process, and human judgment
  • Prefer concrete experience over abstract frameworks

It’s not meant to persuade or instruct, but to document and share a way of working.

Publishing cadence

I publish essays regularly, usually once a week, with shorter pieces appearing when there’s something specific worth capturing.

Writing here is intentionally measured. If something appears, it’s because it felt worth saying—not because a schedule demanded it.
